Maintaining Team Continuity throughout Multiple Waves of EPIC Implementations
SSM Health is a large, Catholic, non-for-profit healthcare system that serves Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. SSM contracted with CSI Healthcare IT to assist with their EPIC EMR implementation throughout the hospital system.
CSI Healthcare IT provided senior level management to give oversight and quality control for a large number of consultants needed for the seventh wave of their Epic inpatient and ambulatory rollout. CSI has provided SSM with more than 300 resources including Radiant, ClinDoc, Beaker, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing and primarily supported ADT, Prelude and Cadence throughout the seven waves. CSI has also supplied trained physicians, nurses and office staff along with helping the organization’s billing and financial processes.
CSI Healthcare IT provided a proper mix of credentialed, certified and project lead resources to assure the success of the project at the most effective and economic level. Working closely with project managers from SSM, CSI management was able to adapt the consultant staff to SSM specific workflow changes and internal scheduling adjustments. Throughout the project, quality assurance documentation and checklists were followed to guarantee thorough training of SSM personnel. Since working with CSI Healthcare IT, screening and interview processes have been streamlined to a point that CSI was able to bring back all returning consultants already familiar with SSM to the most recent project, assuring the highest quality candidates with no attrition.
